It seems that a working life in Australia isn’t such a bad thing. A recent survey, conducted by Towers Perrin-ISR, a professional services firm, has revealed that, when compared globally, it is Australian workers who are most engaged and satisfied with their work lives. 10% more than their global peers!
The report goes on to identify that Austrlian workers seem happiest thanks to the high-quality career opportunities offered by their employers, with 44% seeing a rosey future with their current employer, compared to 36% of their global equivalents. The report also concluded that senior managers play a large part in employees happiness at work if they are seen to be visible and accessible to their staff. Aussie managers got a 56% vote of approval compared to their global counterparts, 44%.
