Australia’s mining industry is undergoing such rapid growth that recruitment just can’t keep pace. A recent study by the Minerals Council of Australia shows that over the next decade Western Australia is going to need 86% more skilled workers, with other states not far behind that figure. The Minerals Council recognised the federal government’s streamlining immigration policies for skilled migrants and their plans to increase skills training.
The Council’s education and training director, Chris Fraser, said ”The labour market is already running at capacity and this extra demand will mean it is even more critical that Australia’s chronic skills shortages are addressed.”
Australia needs a huge array of skilled workers to develop its mining industry. You may have skills that are in demand. Check out www.workingin-australia.com for jobs and help with immigration matters.
